Coffee has been grown in Mexio since the 1700s, the majority of which comes from the southern portion of the country. The Tapachula growing region is situated within the state of Chiapas, close to the Guatemalan border. An ideal climate and elevation exists in this area. Coffee farmers receive incentives for using organic practices, which only adds to the quality of these beans. Characteristics of Mexican Chiapas coffee often overlap with Guatemalan coffee due to the close proximity of the growing regions. This is a good thing, Guatemalan coffee is fantastic.
