These beans come from a lesser known region, San Juan del Río Coco. Mayorga Organics partners with a wonderful co-op that is dedicated to sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. Nicaragua Río Coco coffee is shade grown on small farms that are very well taken care of. This organic coffee is a great representation of what the lesser known regions of Nicaragua have to offer.
What makes Nicaragua Río Coco Coffee special?
Fans of Central American coffee are likely familiar with Nicaraguan coffee. That being said, not so many people are aware of the San Juan del Río Coco region. These organic beans grown with meticulous care, and the quality is quite evident. This coffee balances a number of aspects in expert fashion. A sweet, room-filling aroma is revealed as soon as the bag is opened. Notes of nuts and chocolate and a honey-toned sweetness make for a rich cup. Some earthy character and a mild acidity fade away for a nice clean finish. This is a great organic coffee from a very respectable roaster, highly recommended!
