The Background

Thai coffee does not immediately jump to mind when considering the vast array of coffee growing origins that exist throughout Asia. While the majority of coffee beans produced in Thailand are lower grade Robusta beans, they do in fact have some very note worthy Arabica options to offer. High quality Arabica beans are grown in Chang Mai, which is situated in northern Thailand. Chang Mai is home to ideal coffee growing conditions including a mild, tropical climate, mountainous areas of suitable altitude, as well as fertile soils galore.

Paradise Mountain sources this Thai coffee via direct trade from a single farm in Chang Mai. Paradise Mountain operates in a sustainable, environmentally friendly manner, boasting organic and SMBC Bird Friendly certifications. Their farm in Chang Mai is actually the only SMBC certified farm in all of Thailand!

There aren't a lot of Thai coffee brands that are well known world-wide, as only a small fraction is exported due to high domestic demand. Paradise Mountain Organic coffee is one of, if not the best Thai coffee options for those of us who can't budget a trip to Thailand every few weeks!

What makes Thai Coffee special?

Thai coffee seems to fly under the radar of most people, which is really a shame! This could be because high quality Arabica Thai coffee is relatively new to the game, or because of the limited availability. Once you try some Thai coffee, you'll understand why there is such a high domestic demand for it!

These beans have an exquisite earthy aroma that provide an enticing, exotic vibe. A rich, balanced taste includes notes of chocolate, caramel & slight hints of citrus. This one has a mild acidity and is smooth & clean from start to finish. Thai coffee is a great, and surprisingly affordable option for anyone seeking an exotic treat from a far away land. Trust us, give this one a shot!
